How does POTENZA Prime differ from the previous POTENZA system?
The difference is not simply higher power. Building on established RF control technology, POTENZA Prime expands treatment-planning options through condition-specific tips, delivery at multiple depths, Boost Mode, and combinations of invasive and non-invasive RF.
What is 3 Depth Remodeling?
It is designed to deliver RF at multiple depths using needles of different lengths. Treatment is planned by layer—including near the epidermis, the upper dermis and the deeper dermis—rather than at only one depth.
What is Boost Mode?
After RF delivery, additional needling is performed without adding energy. This is intended to widen the microchannels through which the product travels and support more even delivery.
How does it differ from conventional drug delivery?
In addition to the drug-delivery mechanism of the conventional Pumping Tip, which uses changes in pressure, POTENZA Prime includes Boost Mode, which performs additional needling after RF delivery.
Which tip is used for melasma?
The MLS series may be considered when melanin is the principal feature, while VMLS-X36 may be considered when redness or vascular features are also present. The actual tip is selected after examination of redness, inflammation, skin condition and treatment history.
Can a stronger response be expected simply because the tip is newer?
New tips expand the available treatment-planning options, but they do not guarantee a treatment response. Response varies with the condition, skin thickness, treatment history, energy settings and number of sessions.
Are the new tips used for every patient?
The tip used differs from patient to patient. A conventional tip or another treatment may be more appropriate, so the decision is made after examining the skin.
Which campaign treatment applies to acne scars?
The September–October monitor campaign covers drug delivery for acne scarring. POTENZA Prime and McCoom are used to treat acne scars, depressed scars, enlarged pores and skin texture.
Are there requirements for being a monitor patient?
You must agree to photographs before and after treatment and complete an evaluation questionnaire about the procedure. Full-face monitor photographs may be used on social media, the clinic website and at academic meetings after the eye area has been mosaicked so that the individual cannot be identified.
Can it be used for melasma?
Suitability is determined after examining the skin. Melasma can involve not only melanin but also redness, blood flow, inflammation and skin condition, so treatment must be planned carefully.
Is there downtime?
Redness, swelling, pain, bruising, roughness and needle marks may occur. Their severity and duration vary between individuals.
How many sessions are needed?
This varies according to the condition and treatment goal. We assess acne scars, pores, melasma, redness and other findings before proposing the number and interval of sessions.
