FAQ

Frequently asked questions about medical laser hair removal

How many sessions are needed?

Multiple sessions are needed, although the number varies with hair density, area and your goal. To match the hair-growth cycle, our suggested interval is 1–2 months for the face and approximately 1.5–3 months for the body.

Is treatment painful?

You may feel warmth or a sensation like a rubber-band snap in some areas. MeDioStar MONOLITH has a skin-cooling component and cools the skin during treatment. The output can be adjusted if discomfort is strong.

Can treatment be performed on tanned skin?

Treatment may not be possible soon after tanning or when the skin is inflamed. We assess the skin that day rather than deciding from skin tone alone. Avoid significant sun exposure before and after treatment.

Do I need to shave before treatment?

Shave the treatment area with an electric shaver between two days and one day before treatment. Do not use tweezers or wax. A shaving fee may apply if hair is missed.

Does full-body treatment include the face and VIO?

The women’s full-body fee does not include the face or VIO. You can add the face or VIO as needed. Men may choose full-body, face, beard, VIO or selected-area treatment.

When can I change or cancel my appointment?

Contact the clinic by the day before your appointment to change or cancel. A same-day cancellation is counted as one course session used.

Do you offer beard hair removal for men?

Yes. Choose from three beard areas, cheeks, under the chin, upper lip, chin, neck and other areas that concern you.
