English guide to the retained Japanese access map: north is at the top. The red clinic pin marks Minato Motomachi Beauty and Plastic Surgery Clinic in Motomachidori 5-chome, immediately south of the JR/Kobe Rapid Transit railway and Motomachi Shopping Street. Nishi-Motomachi Station is southwest of the clinic; Hanakuma Station and its west exit are northwest; JR Motomachi Station is northeast. From JR Motomachi, follow the shopping-street corridor west toward the clinic; from Hanakuma, cross to the south side of the railway and continue southeast; from Nishi-Motomachi, proceed northeast toward Motomachidori 5-chome. Major orientation labels on the map include Yamate arterial road and Okurayama Park to the west, Kobe University Hospital and Minatogawa Shrine to the southwest, Kobe Central Post Office to the south, Nankinmachi and Daimaru Kobe to the east, and Hanshin Expressway Route 3, Kobe Port Tower, Hotel Okura Kobe, Meriken Park, the Maritime Museum, and the waterfront to the southeast. The numerous smaller Japanese labels identify station exits, convenience stores, shops, clinics, schools, post offices, hotels, parks, and local buildings; they are background landmarks rather than additional route steps.
